DSTA´s light line is an embedded light barrier situated on the sidewalk by pedestrian crossings synchronized with the traffic light. When the traffic light is red, forbidding pedestrians to cross, a red light illuminates the floor motivating them to stay put. The contrary effect occurs if the traffic light turns red – the light line illuminates the floor using green LEDs.

These are only a few of the possible combinations available. The Light Line can be adapted to any color, for instance for trams where the light line would illuminate using amber or white LEDs.
